Smith & Wollensky Welcomes the Return of Their Annual Steak & Whiskey Event

The Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group, Inc. (SWRG), a collection of iconic American steakhouses, is celebrating the spirit of the Irish with the return of their ultimate Steak & Whiskey Event, taking place March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day) through April (while supplies last).  This year during the Steak & Whiskey Event, Smith & Wollensky will showcase Jameson® Black Barrel Irish Whiskey inspired cocktails and a specialty 30-day whiskey-aged Double R Ranch USDA Prime Bone-In New York Cut Sirloin.

 

Known for its on-site dry-aging process, the steakhouse team is taking one of Smith & Wollensky’s most popular cuts, wrapping it in a Jameson Black Barrel Irish Whiskey-soaked cheesecloth, and aging it for 30 days to create a unique whiskey-infused flavor within this signature dry-aged cut.  Charring is an age-old method for invigorating barrels to intensify the taste and with Jameson Black Barrel, bourbon barrels receive an additional charring. The select double charred barrels produce a whiskey with even richer flavor and intense smoothness.

And since we are launching our specials on St. Patrick’s Day this year, it’s also a festive feast for our guests to enjoy while celebrating the luck of the Irish.”

 

Now aging in Jameson Black Barrel Irish Whiskey, this select Double R Ranch USDA Prime Bone-In New York Cut Sirloin is priced at $68 and will be available in a limited quantity. In addition to the whiskey-aged steak, Smith & Wollensky will also feature the following Jameson Black Barrel beverage specials:

  • Whiskey Smash (Jameson Black Barrelmint, mixed berries, lemon, simple syrup), priced at $17.
  • Peach Ginger Cooler (Jameson Black Barrel, Crème de Pêche liqueur, peach puree, lemon, simple syrup), priced at $17.

The Steak & Whiskey Event offerings are available at Smith & Wollensky locations in the following cities: Boston, Chicago, Columbus, Las Vegas, Miami Beach and Wellesley, MA.  Guests are encouraged to reserve their steaks ONLINE or by phone, noting “Whiskey-Aged Steak” in the reservation request.
