HARD ROCK HOTEL

As the $1.5 billion Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood expansion project nears completion, the integrated resort is getting ready to unveil the new 225,000-square-foot Hard Rock Live entertainment venue, which is expected to welcome more than 100 nights of A-list acts, award shows, sporting events and more each year.

The 7,000-person capacity indoor venue boasts clamshell-style seating, where the furthest seat is only 164 feet away from the front of the stage. In keeping with Hard Rock’s commitment to music and live entertainment, the $125 million Hard Rock Live offers state-of-the-art mobile stage technology, fully immersive in-house sound and lighting systems, and unobstructed sightlines from every seat in the house.

Designed by internationally renowned performing arts and entertainment design firm Scéno Plus, recognized for designing more than 200 venues around the world, the space has a unique architectural concept that incorporates modern interior design to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests and artists alike. Hard Rock Live is the largest performance venue designed to date by Scéno Plus since the company was founded 34 years ago.

New amenities at Hard Rock Live include a VIP salon, more than 300 square feet of bar space, and The Couches, an exclusive premium seating area featuring plush couches and tables with dedicated in-seat cocktail service, giving guests an elite experience like no other with unparalleled views of the performance from tiered, theater-style seats.

Hard Rock Live by the Numbers:

  • 225,000 square feet
  • 6,556 seats (3,095 orchestra seats, 1,634 first balcony and 1,622 second balcony)
  • 7,034 general admission capacity
  • 265 ceiling speakers with 135 sound reinforcement speakers
  • 105 TV displays with multiple 30’ x 17’  projection screens
  • 9 dressing rooms, including two star dressing rooms, one chorus dressing room and one makeup room
  • 9 VIP suites for a private show experience

The venue also comes with a new state-of-the-art Theatrical Specialized Equipment (TSE) package, which includes the most advanced show lighting, rigging, AV, as well as a second-to-none sound system for the best artist and guest experience!

One of the great features of Hard Rock Live is its ability to quickly transform from a 7,000-capacity seated configuration for large concerts and events to a 2,500-capacity theater configuration for musicals.  To pull off that technical feat, the theatre is equipped with a unique system of curtains to conceal the balconies using motorized line sets.

Through Hard Rock’s global partnership with Nederlander Worldwide, a leader in the international live entertainment industry, the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood venue will also be home to Broadway style entertainment curated especially for the property.

Performers will find nine dressing rooms, including two star dressing rooms, one chorus dressing room and one makeup room for Broadway show preparation. A VIP salon is available for select guests and corporate events, with a designated meet-and-greet area in the back of the venue.

A show-stopping weekend of grand opening festivities at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood kicks off Thursday, Oct. 24, with headliner Maroon 5 performing at Hard Rock Live on Friday, Oct. 25. Coming off a yearlong world tour that hit four continents, with over 50 shows in more than 20 countries, Maroon 5 will be the first performers to take the stage of this premier South Florida entertainment venue.
