The World Series of Poker (WSOP) returns to South Florida and Seminole Casino Coconut Creek for one of the first stops of the 2019-2020 WSOP Circuit U.S. tour beginning Thursday, September 19.
This marks the fourth time that the industry’s leading brand will make a home at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. The 12-day series is again punctuated by a $1 million guaranteed Main Event.
Leading up to the Main Event, which runs September 27-30, a number of other events are scheduled, including a $300,000 guaranteed Re-Entry opener, a $100,000 guaranteed Monster Stack and a $50,000 guaranteed High Roller. In total, 13 primary tournaments will be decided with each awarding the WSOP Circuit’s token prize, a gold ring.
In addition to millions of dollars in prize money, players will compete for two entries in the WSOP Circuit season-ending Global Casino Championship. The first entry will be awarded to the Casino Champion, the player who earns the most points via in-the-money finishes during the series. The second entry will go to the Main Event champion. These seats are valued at $10,000 each and will ultimately see two Seminole Casino Coconut Creek players compete in a one-of-a-kind event with a prize pool in excess of $1 million.
