Once again, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will be offering a $4,000 overall top cash prize and $1,000 separate cash prizes in the categories of Music, Pop Culture/Entertainment, Super Hero, Scary Spooktacular and Miscellaneous. Registration is free and pre-registration is encouraged as categories fill-up quickly.
On October 28, entrants will be required to check-in at 7 p.m. to receive a number that must be clearly displayed on the front of their costume. Through a series of preliminary rounds, contestants will be judged in groups of five for each costume category. Each category will award three winners – first, second and third. The top contestant from each category will compete in a final “Scary Rock Star” Grand Prize with one contestant to be awarded the grand prize.
Costumes will be judged by on creativity, originality and appearance by local celebrities Marybel Rodriguez from WFOR CBS4, Shireen Sandoval of WSVN’s Deco Drive, Rosy Cordero of accidentalsexiness.com and Chris Cruz of WHYI Y-100 FM. Ross Bielejeski from Rock with U will be emcee for the ghoulish gathering.
For all geeks, freaks and “gore”geously chic entries, please remember that good taste must be used in the creation and presentation of costumes.
