Savannah College of Art and Design presents the Design Forum
As the offi cial university partner of Design Miami/, the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) has conceptualized and curated the interior environment of the Design Forum, an immersive landscape for conversation and collaboration among today’s visionary thought leaders, artists and designers, and media partners. At the Design Forum guests can access respected artists and experts who will converse throughout the week as well as the state-of the-art Media Suite. The Media Suite enriches the fair’s artistic exchange with original, social-first content, including podcasts, live-streamed conversations, and interviews, in a celebration of design innovation, contemporary art, and creative education.
Combining the prestige of the preeminent university for art and design with the creative vitality of SCAD alumni, the immersive environment engages work from a range of SCAD’s award-winning degree programs, from furniture design and fi bers to sculpture and ceramics. The Design Forum is enlivened with dynamic textile works by SCAD alumna Trish Andersen, while richly textured and colorful collections generously provided by SCAD partner Shaw Floors envelop the space. In addition to the Design Forum, SCAD also presents a booth at the fair to showcase the work of talented SCAD alumni artists from around the world.
