SAKS FIFTH AVENUE and DEPARTURES KICK OFF DESTINATION FASHION WITH LUXURY MENSWEAR CRAFTSMANSHIP EVENT

Saks Fifth Avenue and Departures Magazine will host an evening of fine craftsmanship focusing on some of the legendary names in menswear in its Bal Harbour store on Wednesday, November 7 from 7 to 9. The event will feature master tailors, special product offerings, and exclusive made-to-measure fabrics from Canali, Corneliani, Kiton, Ralph Lauren Black Label, Saks Fifth Avenue Men’s Collection and Tod’s.

“We are proud to feature the craftsmanship and fine quality of Saks Fifth Avenue’s menswear assortment,” says Thomas Ott, SVP GMM Menswear, Home, Food & Gifts. “Guests are invited to preview the store’s newest merchandise for spring and learn of each brand’s unique artisanal origins.”

 

The event will be co-hosted by Miami notables Hernan Arriaga, international celebrity interior stylist, Arin Maercks, premier Miami plastic surgeon, Jason Rubell, co-owner of Rubell Hotels, and Michael Simkins, head of Lion Associates.

 

Saks Fifth Avenue’s luxury men’s brands will feature an array of custom animations during the event:

  • Canali will preview its newest items for spring, as well as offer a unique Made-to-Measure assortment
  • Corneliani President and CEO, Roger Cohen, will be on hand working with customers to special order merchandise. The brand will showcase a video presentation detailing the construct and craftsmanship of its Made-to-Measure program and offer a luxurious Corneliani leather wallet as a gift-with-purchase.
  • Kiton’s master tailor will personally measure customers and discuss the Kiton way of translating measurements to design of quality
  • Ralph Lauren Black Label will offer an early Holiday preview to customers with a special Black Label assortment including tailored clothing, sportswear, and denim options
  • Saks Fifth Avenue Men’s Collection’s designer Kim Herring will showcase his premiere resort collection with the label. Saks Fifth Avenue’s Men’s Fashion Director Eric Jennings will also be made available to speak with customers on the brand’s origins and craftsmanship.
  • Tod’s will showcase a gallery-quality photo installation featuring the brand’s artisan tailoring and craftsmanship.
