The Riviera Dining Group (RDG) has officially announced the grand opening of CLAUDIE, a highly anticipated new dining destination in Brickell, Miami. Drawing inspiration from the timeless allure of the South of France, CLAUDIE promises an elevated French-Mediterranean experience brimming with Riviera charm, culinary excellence, and vibrant hospitality.
Founded by Gregory Galy, RDG is already acclaimed for its signature modern dining approach, exemplified by its flagship restaurant, MILA, which ranks as the second highest-grossing independent restaurant in the United States. This success speaks to the group’s innovative concepts that masterfully blend gastronomy, mixology, ambiance, design, and exceptional service. With CLAUDIE, RDG aims to carry this legacy forward, offering diners a transportive escape to the Côte d’Azur right in the heart of Miami.
A Culinary Experience Inspired by the French Riviera
At the helm of CLAUDIE’s kitchen is Chef Michaël Michaelidis, RDG’s Head of Culinary, whose expertise infuses the menu with Mediterranean flavors and “la Cuisine du Soleil.” With an impressive background that includes roles at renowned establishments like Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse and Joël Robuchon, Chef Michaelidis channels the artistry of legendary French Riviera chefs to curate a refined yet meaningful dining experience.
Diners can indulge in signature dishes that include a theatrical Table-Side Gazpacho—an ingenious vodka infusion reminiscent of a reimagined Bloody Mary; decadent Pâtes Aux Langoustes; and classic Escargots. Other highlight offerings feature grilled Gamberoni, the indulgent Truffle Toupie Macaron—a delightful truffle-infused ham and Parmesan creation; Entrecôte-Frites; and an exquisite Crustacés seafood tower that showcases the best of the sea.
A Design that Evokes the South of France
Designed by OV & Co. and Lazaro Rosa-Violán, CLAUDIE reflects the effortless elegance found in French Riviera towns. The space is adorned with natural materials—wicker, wood, clay, and stone—creating an inviting yet sophisticated atmosphere.
The restaurant’s 2,470-square-foot terrace serves as an intimate retreat for 104 guests, surrounded by lush greenery and a striking fountain centerpiece inspired by classic French jewelry designs, cascading like a radiant display of diamonds. Three stunning bronze sculptures by artist Ada Da Silva enhance the terrace’s ambiance, seamlessly blending art and nature.
Inside, the dining room captivates with Mediterranean charm, featuring glazed tiles, handcrafted furnishings, and a dramatic circular light fixture reminiscent of the sun’s radiant glow. For special occasions, the private dining room boasts an exclusive mural by artist Victoria Krylov, depicting a sophisticated muse’s journey through a day in the Mediterranean.
“The roots of CLAUDIE are deeply personal, drawing inspiration from the South of France, particularly Mougins, where I grew up and where my father has served as mayor for decades,” said Gregory Galy, Founder & CEO of RDG. “Mougins is celebrated for its blend of artistry and Michelin-starred cuisine, epitomizing a way of life centered on slow living, effortless sophistication, and an appreciation for beauty and culture. At CLAUDIE, under the leadership of Chef Michaël Michaelidis, we are committed to offering an exceptional dining experience that embodies our passion for excellence.”
CLAUDIE marks the latest concept from RDG, known for erstwhile successes like MILA, AVA MediterrAgean, and CASA NEOS. As the group continues to redefine hospitality with high-energy, experience-driven concepts, rapid expansion plans on the horizon promise to bring its signature lifestyle brand to global markets in the near future.
For those seeking a taste of the French Riviera in Miami, CLAUDIE stands poised to create unforgettable culinary memories, one exquisite plate at a time.
