Travel the world without packing a suitcase or even stepping onto a plane with Pistache French Bistro. Motivated by the success of last year’s program, this summer Pistache will again offer an exciting lineup of tastes, sights and sounds from around the world through its Tour du Monde. Duplicating last year’s platform, guests participating in the Tour du Monde receive a passport in which to collect stamps representing the various locales. Bring your stamped passport to the following event and receive a complimentary Tour du Monde libation. Fill your passport with at least seven stamps and be eligible to win a trip to Paris!

Pistache’s Tour du Monde program kicks-off Friday, May 31, in conjunction with the restaurant’s Five-Year Anniversary Party. The celebratory event and launch party will feature a band and champagne specials all night long, and will provide the very first stamp on the Tour du Monde passport.

“Each evening of the Tour du Monde highlights the distinctive flavors, traditions and essence of a specific country,” explains Thierry Beaud, restaurateur and owner of Pistache. “Once again this summer, we are excited to offer our guests the opportunity to experience the culture of the world right here at home.”

In addition to the bistro’s classic French fare, Tour du Monde evenings provide a varied menu of each country’s traditional cuisine. A “trip” to Morocco features kebabs, salads and other delicacies including traditional couscous royal, while drummers and belly dancers create a colorful ambience. An evening “in” Russia offers traditional fare such as the classic purple-red borsht beet soup and hosts a violinist and folk dancers. Indian Dreams will showcase Bollywood musicians and dancers, and the Mexican Fiesta will present a lively celebration with a mariachi band, traditional piñatas and an authentic South of the Border menu. Each unique evening will transport visitors to exotic places that most will not have the opportunity to visit over the summer. The full event schedule is listed below.

Reminiscent of the Art Nouveau movement that defined early 20th century Parisian dining establishments, Pistache represents a new genre of bistro combining hip, retro-modern and cosmopolitan lifestyles.  Plush red leather banquettes, oversized antique mirrors, a plein-air patio and a full service mahogany brass bar set the stage for downtown West Palm’s only authentic bistro, presenting casual French fare in a sophisticated, upbeat ambience.

Pistache French Bistro is located at 101 N. Clematis Street and is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week and brunch on the weekend. Please visit www.pistachewpb.com or call (561) 833-5090 for reservations.
