Stunning visuals of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino illuminated in passionate pink showered in pink fireworks will set the stage for “PINKTOBER Rocks.” In participation with the Miami Food Trucks, Seminole Hard Rock will kick-off its PINKTOBER activities with a special
Sunset Lighting Ceremony benefiting the Breast Cancer Center Fund at Memorial Foundation and American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.”
President and CEO of the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade Lisa Scott-Founds and Easy 93.1FM Morning Show Host Susan Wise will “flip the ceremonial switch” that will instantaneously illuminate the hotel and Seminole Paradise Lake in passionate pink, as well as launch a spectacular pink fireworks display.
Immediately following, a “Most Creative Pink Shoes” contest – men’s, women’s and children’s – will be judged by local celebrities and fashion experts including Wise along with Lips’ Lady LaRouge, Nanysklozet.com fashion blogger Daniela “Nany” Ramirez, Magic 102.7FM on-air personality Mindy Lang, Palm Beach Post’s pop culture columnist Leslie Gray Streeter and LITE 101.5FM on-air radio personality Nikki Ramirez. A $500 cash prize will be awarded for the most creative men’s and women’s pink shoes plus an iPad 2 will be awarded to the most creative children’s shoes. Additional prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place winners.
A pink fashion show will feature Seminole Hard Rock team members modeling PINKTOBER fashions from Seminole Paradise retailers including Boss Connection, Bratz, Shoooz, Cache, Maccimo, Pandora, Quiksilver, Sinbad Sports and White House|Black Market. Other evening festivities include a Seminole Hard Rock bake sale, the Plantation High School Marching Band and music by Rock With U Entertainment. Murphy’s Law, newly opened The Swamp, TATU and Hooters will offer pink drink specials while other restaurants and retailers will have additional special offers available.
The Women’s Imaging Center at Memorial Regional Hospital, Bikes & Beauties, Peterson’s Harley Davidson and the Florida Panthers Redline Lady Panthers will also be on-site to show their support for breast cancer awareness.
