On Thursday, December 2nd, PAPER + AOL, in partnership with Pharrell Williams, Shepard Fairey and FriendsWithYou, hosted an opening night celebration to kick off the FriendsWithYou Rainbow City installation with a special performance by popular alternative rock trio N*E*R*D and uber cool nightlife fixture DJ Mia Moretti.

The special event drew nearly 2,000 artist, collectors, gallerists, celebrities and tastemakers promising to be one of the most talked about events during Art Basel Miami Beach 2010.

Attendees experienced a sensorial treat, as the concert took place amid the Rainbow City installation in the heart of Miami’s Design District.

The forty-piece installation of inflated sculptures embraced visitors, creating the ultimate backdrop during the N*E*R*D performance.
