WHAT The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) is proud to announce that Complexions Contemporary Ballet—co-founded by Tony Award-nominated Broadway performer, 1986 YoungArts Winner in Modern Dance and U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts, Desmond Richardson—will be YoungArts’ resident dance company this November. In an original work by Master Choreographer Dwight Rhoden, Complexions Contemporary Ballet will be first to grace the dance floors of the newly renovated Jewel Box on the YoungArts Campus, in preparation of the company’s premiere at the Joyce Theater in New York.
On November 7, Complexions will share some of its work with the public through an Outside the Box performance in Miami, sponsored by ArtPlace America. Now in its second year, this series engages the public, inspires artists, and serves as a catalyst for neighborhood transformation
Starr Catering Group will be offering a range of beverage options, and light to hearty bites, available for purchase at Outside the Box.
