Native American family blues-rock band The Osceola Brothers will headline the “Hard Rock After Dark” local concert series in August. Formed two years ago by 16-year-old guitarist Cameron Osceola, the band also features 12-year-old guitarist Sheldon Osceola and 15-year-old bassist Tyson Osceola. Their debut performance was for Paul “Cowbone” Buster’s Memorial in October 2011. Since then, they have opened-up for ‘90s band Candlebox and have played in Texas and Oklahoma. Cameron Osceola also plays solo shows with others including R.C North and James Payne, a music teacher at the Seminole Boys and Girls Club on the Hollywood Reservation. The Osceola Brothers Band’s sound is heavily influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Bonamassa, ZZ Top and fellow Tribe members from Indigenous.
