Operation Thanksgiving Rescue Mission Underway, Seeking Community Support

Pet Partners Rescue Home has embarked on a Thanksgiving Rescue Mission and will be rescuing more than a dozen cats from Miami-Dade Animal Services (MDAS) on Saturday, November 27. This is the same organization that rescued every single cat that was at MDAS during Halloween weekend. To date more than 60 have been saved from euthanization thanks to the generous donations from supporters of the organization.

The organization is seeking the community’s support to help raise funds to pull the cats from the shelter and help cover their vetting and foster costs. The cost for the MDAS pull fees are $35 fee for every two cats. Pet Partners Rescue Home will be fostering the animals, along with numerous other rescue partners in South Florida, until permanent homes are found for each one.

“During this holiday season, this is just our way of helping these poor animals that get killed at the shelter every day,” stated Bernie Alfonso, Owner of Pet Partners Rescue Home.

Community supporters of the organization include Gulliver Academy, which holds pet food drives to assist the Rescue Home. To donate, please visit www.mypetspartner.com.
