New World School of the Arts welcomes dancer/choreographer Jamar Roberts, who will be working with NWSA college students in the creation of a new work, which will be performed during Spring Dances, April 24-27. Mr. Roberts, an NWSA dance alumnus, is an award-winning dancer, formerly with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Company. He was also their first-ever choreographer in residence and has gone on to be sought-after by many of the country’s foremost companies and dance organizations including Miami City Ballet, Martha Graham Dance Company, Parsons Dance, the Vail Dance Festival and many more. There will be an open showing of the work-in-progress.
