OMA KAI sushi has officially opened its new location in Aventura, marking a shift from a takeout and delivery service to a full-service restaurant. The grand opening took place on Saturday, September 28, at 18831 Biscayne Blvd in Town Center Aventura.
The newly transformed venue can accommodate up to 74 guests with both indoor and outdoor seating, allowing patrons to enjoy the brand’s signature omakase dishes in a relaxed, sit-down atmosphere. OMAKAI sushi has established a reputation for delivering exceptional, high-quality omakase at affordable prices, following its successful operations in Wynwood and Coconut Grove. The Aventura location previously offered takeout and delivery services since late 2020, serving the community prior to this full dining experience.
CEO Diego Quijada expressed excitement about the transition, stating, “After several years of serving the Aventura community with our signature Homeakase boxes for takeout and delivery, we’re thrilled to provide a full-service dining experience.” Pedro Quijada, Head of Expansion, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the company’s growth trajectory with plans for additional locations in Doral and Downtown by the end of the year.
In preparation for the grand opening, OMAKAI sushi hosted a soft opening from September 21 to September 27, offering dinner service starting at 5 p.m. Reservations were encouraged due to limited seating during this initial phase.
The Aventura location will operate daily from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and from 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Guests are encouraged to make reservations in advance to secure their preferred dining times.
