NU DECO ENSEMBLE FEATURING
ALLEN STONE AND DERRICK HODGE

Join Nu Deco Ensemble for an exciting night of music to close out their eighth season at the Arsht Center! The program will feature soul and R&B artist Allen Stone and two-time Grammy-winning composer and bassist Derrick Hodge. Hodge, who combines an array of genres ranging from jazz to soul and hip-hop, will premiere an orchestral commission with the full ensemble, while Stone blends everything from edgy soul-pop and earthy folk-rock to throwback R&B and Parliament-inspired funk in a collaborative performance. The program will also feature “Symphonic Metamorphosis” by genre-bending German composer Paul Hindemith and an orchestral reimagination of the 1998 debut solo album from Ms. Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
