The Newport Beachside Hotel and Resort (“Newport”) will help turn dreams into reality by hosting the Fashion Designers Expo of Florida on Friday, October 30th and Saturday, October 31st. Designers, models, make-up artists, stylists and fashionistas will support Susan G. Komen for the Cure® with two PINK fashion shows, a PINK Masquerade Gala and a PINK & BLACK after-party.
The festivities kick off at 8 p.m. on Friday with “PINK Hits the Runway.” Events on Saturday include a “PINK Masquerade Gala” featuring a three-course dinner at 6 p.m., “PINK Hits the Runway Finale” at 8 p.m. and a “PINK & BLACK After-Party” at 11 p.m.
Models, including “America’s Next Top Model” season four contestant, Tiffany Richardson, will walk the runway showcasing fashions from emerging designers such as Asuka Collections, LaDaska Mechelle and Kimaje Kreations. Alumni fashion design students from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale will also present their collections including swimwear and children’s wear.
