Beginning February 7, Portofino Coal Fired Pizza, the neighborhood-dining destination in Kendall, will offer a new Italian Market specialty menu filled with regional favorites. The specials will be in addition to PCFP’s already extensive fare of coal-fired pizza, gourmet sandwiches, salads, wings and unique pasta creations.
New appetizer choices include delicious Italian Breaded Cheese Ravioli (breaded ravioli studded with cheese and served with Portofino Marinara sauce – $6.95) and the decadent Fried Mac and Cheese Balls (homemade macaroni and cheese, breaded in crispy panko crumbs, deep fried and served with pink alfredo sauce – $6.95). New coal-fired pizza selections include the Spinach Chicken Pizza (layers of ricotta cheese, mozzarella and Alfredo sauce, topped with coal-fired chicken and fresh spinach) and the vegetarian-friendly Veggie Extravaganza Pizza (Coal-fired eggplant, mushrooms, caramelized onions, red onion, red, green and yellow peppers, plum tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, goat cheese and gorgonzola cheese).
Entrees on the Italian Market menu include pasta dishes like the Chicken Caprese (coal-fired chicken, fresh basil, roasted garlic olive oil, grape tomatoes, Kalamata olives and fresh mozzarella over choice of pasta – $7.95) and the Seafood Fra Diavolo (pan roasted shrimp, scallops and calamari in pink sauce served on penne pasta – $15.95). Hearty main dishes such as the Portofino Churrasco (churrasco marinated in a special blend of herbs and spices topped with a chimichurri sauce, served with smashed potatoes and sweet plantains – 6oz $12.95, 12oz $17.95) round out the menu.
The tempting new dessert choices exude a true Italian flavor and include Homemade Gelato (chocolate or vanilla flavors, topped with chocolate shavings, caramel or hot fudge sauce – $5.49), Italian Donut Squares (sweet dough, fried golden, dusted in sugar, cinnamon and powdered sugar, served with choice of chocolate, raspberry or condensed milk sauces – $5.95) and Portofino Dessert Pizzas (available in S’Mores, Dulce de Leche or Nutella flavors – $7.95).
