New Guerlain Fragrance Cocktails (and Mocktail) at Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France for 2016

Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France, located on the quiet stretch of Flamand Beach, joined the LVMH family in 2014. As the third Maison in the portfolio, it carries through the brand-wide partnership with Guerlain, a legendary French perfume house with 175 years of history. In celebration of the winter 2015/2016 seasonal re-opening this month, the property debuts a selection of cocktails – as well as a mocktail – inspired by a trio of Guerlain perfumes. The new selection is available at the White Bar and restaurants La Case de l’Isle and La Cabane de l’Isle, and can also be delivered in-room. Room rates start at 590 euros per night.

Nuit d’amour was created as a tribute to Gustav Klimt, the 19th-century Austrian painter, and one of his works of art: “Lady with Hat and Feather Boa.” The floral, powdery, and woody fragrance is mirrored through the crisp flavors of rosé Champagne, lychees, pink berries, and fresh violet flowers.

Arsène Lupin Voyou is a masculine perfume by Guerlain. It is inspired by Arsène Lupin, a 20th-century fictitious character from the novels of French writer Maurice Leblanc. One might even find some similarities with the characters of Ocean’s Eleven! The Maison’s new cocktail aptly blends citrusy bergamot, fresh coriander, and lemon, and it is served in a brandy snifter.

Petit Guerlain was created specifically for children and is sold in the classic bee bottle, the emblem of the House of Guerlain created in 1853 for the Empress Eugenie. The mocktail is for the littlest guests with sweet hints of orange blossom, pistachio, and acacia honey.
