WHAT: National Titanic Remembrance Day is April 15 and The Palace Suites-Kendall
is having an event (by invitation only ) called “Lunch with The Captain” on April 14 at 11:00 AM.
Osher Lifelong Learning lecturer Robert Dawson becomes the captain of the RMS Titanic in his living history portrayal of Edward John Smith RD RNR. Smith was a British naval officer and served as master of numerous White Star Line vessels before being the captain of the Titanic. Dawson tells the story of Titanic from the ship’s inception to the disaster and brings history to life.
The Palace Suites chefs serve a luncheon inspired by The Titanic’s elegant menu.
