National Geographic Explorer Captain Barrington Irving – February 21

Discover Captain Barrington Irving’s globe-circling, life-changing experience.
Join us for a high-flying LIVE@Frost Science on Wednesday, February 21, as aviation expert Captain Barrington Irving presents A Journey From Guinness World-Record Aviation to Transformative STEM Education. During this free event, Captain Irving will describe how he takes an innovative and creative approach to STEM education.

By age 23, Captain Irving became the youngest person ever and first black pilot to fly solo around the world in his plane “Inspiration,” which he built himself out of donated airplane parts. Fueled by that experience, he is now shaping the future for students through his nonprofit, Experience Aviation, and The Flying Classroom curriculum.

Admission to LIVE@Frost Science is complimentary. Program will take place inside the Frost Planetarium. Refreshments and light snacks will be available for purchase prior to the event at Food@Science.
