Little Havana, Miami’s historic cultural hub, comes alive during Miami Art Week with Murals On 27th, a new four-day art installation set to transform the neighborhood with vibrant murals and a rooftop pop-up happy hour by Social 27. Taking place during Miami Art Week (December 3-6, 2024) located along Calle 8 and 27th Ave., Murals On 27th brings together passionate muralists who blend heritage with innovation, to showcase the dynamic essence of independent art in the heart of one of Miami’s most diverse neighborhoods.
For four days, Latin American artists Didi and Chroma J (accompanied by other artists) will bring to life the mural installations on-site, offering locals and visitors the chance to witness live art in action daily from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (with times varying). The mural creation will conclude on Friday, December 6, leaving behind an inspiring collection of one-of-a-kind artworks by renowned artists. The murals will remain on display for a month after Miami Art Week, inviting the community to experience their artistry well beyond the event.
Guests can RSVP to the event by visiting Eventbrite – Mural On 27th.
“Murals On 27th is more than just an Art Week event; it’s a celebration of Little Havana’s spirit and cultural diversity through the collaboration of artists, the community and small businesses,” says Natasha Londono, Event Organizer and Founder of Creative Sol.
