Mother Wolf Brings Roman Culinary Mastery to Miami’s Design District

Acclaimed pasta master Evan Funke is set to launch Mother Wolf in Miami’s upscale Design District on October 5, 2024. Known for his celebrated restaurants including Mother Wolf in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, Funke aims to infuse the rich traditions of Roman cooking into his latest dining destination, which will feature a unique pasta lab, setting it apart from its West Coast counterparts.

In partnership with Ten Five hospitality group, this marks Funke’s official debut on the East Coast. Positioned at the corner of 39th and 2nd, Mother Wolf Miami will be nestled among luxury retailers like Gucci and Prada.

“We’re thrilled to introduce Mother Wolf to Miami—the most vibrant culinary city in the country,” said Dan Daley, Managing Partner of Ten Five. Funke echoes this sentiment, expressing excitement about bringing the diverse culinary traditions of Rome to a culturally rich Miami.

Designed by London-based Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, the restaurant harmonizes Miami’s art deco aesthetic with refined Italian design. Guests will be welcomed into the lush Salotto, featuring a bespoke fountain wall, before transitioning to an expansive bar adorned with antique mirrors and Italian terrazzo flooring. The dining area combines lively theater with intimate dining, showcasing an open kitchen and power booths.

The menu at Mother Wolf centers on handcrafted pastas, brick oven pizzas, and signature dishes such as Margherita pizza and Tagliata di Manzo, highlighted by a selection of seafood offerings like grilled diver scallops and whole roasted Mediterranean sea bass.

Complementing the culinary experience, the wine list boasts over 400 labels focusing on renowned Italian regions, while the cocktail menu features innovative drinks inspired by Roman history, including classics like the Aperol Spritz and unique concoctions such as the ‘San Lorenzo.’

Mother Wolf will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM. For more details, visit www.motherwolfmiami.com or follow @MotherWolfMiami on Instagram.
