The Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center will host “Backyard Bash X: Day of the Dead,” a free Mexican-themed celebration, on Saturday, November 2, at 7 p.m. This year marks the 10th annual Backyard Bash, featuring the Selena Forever Tribute Show and Mariachi Herencia de Mexico.
The tribute show will honor Tejano music icon Selena Quintanilla, who won a GRAMMY Award in 1994, becoming the first Tejano artist to achieve this milestone. Known for their vocal prowess and authentic styles, the Selena Forever Tribute Show has become a leading Latin tribute band with over 100 years of combined musical experience.
Mariachi Herencia de Mexico, a Chicago-based group known for their soul-stirring performances, will also perform. Their debut album topped the Latin streaming charts and earned them two Latin GRAMMY nominations.
Attendees are encouraged to embrace the “Day of the Dead” theme by wearing colorful attire. The family-friendly event will include tacos, tequila, and lively music. Tickets for the free event will be available starting October 22. Here
