O Cinema has returned to Wynwood with the Wynwood Film Series, monthly pop-up screenings throughout the neighborhood in partnership with the Wynwood Business Improvement District (BID). This month we’re excited to be hosted at the The Lightbox at Miami Light Project.
A timeless story of human connection and self-discovery, MOONLIGHT chronicles the life of a young black man from childhood to adulthood as he struggles to find his place in the world while growing up in a rough neighborhood of Miami.
Winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay, Moonlight is a Miami made film through and through- written by Tarell Alvin McCraney and Barry Jenkins who directed, the film was fully filmed in Miami and based on their life experiences growing up in Liberty City.
