MiMo ART Boulevard The Inaugural Installation Anticipation Event Where the PUBLIC becomes ONE with the ART

Looking for something different to do Sunday, November 28, 2010? Join the MiMo historic district as it celebrates its inaugural ART Boulevard Festival featuring local artists, chefs and musical talent, presented by the MiMo Biscayne Association.

MiMo ART Boulevard is a pre-Art Basel event and kickoff to Miami Arts week celebrating the MiMo District and the Artists, Restaurants and Talent who live there. Take a walking tour of the iconic landmarks on Biscayne Boulevard, including the famous, recently installed, LED sign of the Coppertone Girl. Interact with artists stationed along the boulevard as they create their art. Get your paint brushes ready to help create a “neighborhood mural” while listening to some cutting-edge musical talent at a nearby stage. At the main ART Boulevard grounds, enjoy culinary bliss when visiting the cuisine and wine area and sample delectable dishes from local restaurants such as Kris Wessel’s Red Light and Michelle Bernstein’s Michy’s. There will be activities for everyone throughout the day. Hands-on art classes for kids, dogs mingling at pet-friendly retailers and a nearby dog park, and topped off by a holiday tree lighting ceremony concluding the event at The New Yorker Boutique Hotel.

MiMo Biscayne Association is actively looking for additional sponsors and artists to participate in the event. As these sponsors and artists are secured, updated press releases will be distributed.
