HistoryMiami Museum will once again host the Miami Street Photography Festival (MSPF) during Art Basel Week, from December 5-8, featuring various street photography exhibitions and public programs. In conjunction with the festival, the Museum will exhibit the finalists of MSPF’s international street photography competition.
The MSPF© is an international photography festival showcasing the best of contemporary street photography, and featuring the work of professional and emerging photographers in this genre. The goal of the festival is to establish a global platform for exploring street photography through exhibitions, workshops, lectures, and other events. Featured photographers include Nikos Economopoulos, Eugene Richards, Magdalena Sole, Matt Weber, and Christopher Bonanos.
Each year, the festivals core activity, an international street photography competition, receives thousands of submissions from more than 45 countries. HistoryMiami will display the 100 finalists, selected by a panel of judges. The museum will also exhibit the finalists of the Miami Photo Series competition for street photography series depicting life in the Miami area.
