MIAMI MUSIC FESTIVAL 2010

Music fans have a new destination this November 12-14: The Miami Music Festival, a multi-genre emerging artist festival and new music conference. Showcase performances across the city will feature acts of all genres from Florida, the U.S. and around the world. The conference for emerging artists at the Hyatt Regency Miami will offer a series of panels, master classes, workshops and interactive sessions designed to give musicians hands-on instruction and information about navigating today’s music industry. Over those three days, a festival wristband will provide access to more than 500 musical performances at a multitude of scenic venues throughout the city.

The event is expected to bring thousands of people to South Florida who want to enjoy a wide variety of up-and-coming artists ranging from rock, alternative, and singer songwriter acts to Latin, urban, Caribbean, and jazz. In 2009, its inaugural year, the Miami Music Festival attracted more than 18,000 attendees who enjoyed 270 acts in 75 shows on 25 stages.   This year’s expanded event will include five stages in Bayfront Park and a show at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.

Miami is the ideal location for this type of event, with its many live music venues in close proximity to each other and its ideal weather,” said Miami Music Festival CEO Irwin Kornfeld. “We are also very thankful to the Hyatt Regency Miami for their second year of support for this event.”  Please visit www.miamimusicfestival.org for details.
