MIAMI INTERNATIONAL MALL GOES RED TO SUPPORT A GOOD CAUSE ON FEBRUARY 23

Miami International Mall shoppers will see red on Thursday,  February 23 from 6 p.m. to 8 pm, as the mall is the perfect backdrop for the 2ndAnnual “Miami International Mall Goes Red” event featuring special guest host CBS 4 news anchor Natalia Zea.  The community is invited to step out in their best reds to enjoy an evening of fun and ruby red fashions to raise funds for the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women initiative, a nationwide movement that celebrates the passion and power of women to band together and wipe out heart disease.

Models will showcase the latest trends in all shades of red from Macy’s, The Limited, Caché, Bijoux Terner and more. Fashion show attendees will also enjoy hors d’oeuvres and wine tastings from Baru Urbano, participate in a silent auction and revel in the beautiful flowers by The USA Bouquet Company. Proceeds from “Miami International Mall Goes Red” will help fund research into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.

“We are thrilled to partner with Go Red For Women to help raise awareness about the prevalence of heart disease in women,” said Llessir Mendoza, director of mall marketing and business development at Miami International Mall. “Miami International Mall remains committed to the community and is pleased to provide attendees with critical tools to improve the health and quality of their lives.”

Go Red challenges women to know their risk for heart disease and take action to reduce their personal risk. The American Heart Association adopted the symbol of the red dress to create synergy among all organizations committed to fighting this cause.

“We applaud Miami International Mall for joining us in this significant national effort,” said Cristy Martinez-Paez, South Florida communications director of the American Heart Association. “We continue to make great strides in educating the public and helping to make advances in the prevention and treatment of heart disease.”
