Miami Dolphins Spread Holiday Joy with Thanksgiving Dinner for Local Community

The Miami Dolphins went above and beyond this Thanksgiving season by hosting a special dinner for over 300 individuals from the local South Florida community. Held at the Miami Grand Prix Paddock Club within the iconic Hard Rock Stadium on Tuesday, November 14, this event brought together Dolphins players, staff, cheerleaders, and community partners to share in the spirit of gratitude and giving back.

Embracing the true meaning of Thanksgiving, prominent players such as Justin Bethel, Ethan Bonner, Chris Brooks, Bradley Chubb, Chase Claypool, and many others took time out of their schedules to contribute to this heartwarming event. Collaborating with more than 50 organizations associated with Football UNITES™ partners, the City of Miami Gardens, and local faith groups, the Miami Dolphins ensured that families in need were included in the festivities.

Guests were treated to a sumptuous feast prepared by Troy’s Barbeque, renowned for their mouthwatering ham and turkey. Traditional Thanksgiving sides, including mac and cheese, yams, green beans, and cornbread, perfectly complemented the main course. To satisfy their sweet tooth, attendees enjoyed delicious cupcakes from Sugarbud, both members of the Miami Dolphins Minority Restaurant Program presented by Amazon.

While enjoying their meals, families had the opportunity to engage with Dolphins players in meaningful conversations and participate in various activities. Thanksgiving-themed crafts, a 360° photo booth, and cookie decorating kept spirits high as the football stars connected with the community on a personal level.

Not content with merely providing a memorable evening, the Miami Dolphins surprised each family with a turkey and nonperishable food items from Goya to take home for their own Thanksgiving Day celebrations. This act of kindness demonstrates the team’s commitment to supporting those facing food insecurity or financial strain during the holiday season.

Kim Miller, Vice President of Community Affairs for the Miami Dolphins, expressed her pride in continuing this long-standing tradition. Miller emphasized the importance of bringing people together and positively impacting the South Florida community, especially during a time when families should have the opportunity to gather over a great meal.

This event is just one example of the Miami Dolphins Football UNITES™ initiative, which aims to unite and support members of the South Florida community year-round. By providing assistance to local families during the holiday season, the Dolphins are living up to their commitment to making a lasting positive impact on the community they call home.
