Miami Dolphins' Running Back Ricky Williams Joins SPO Medical to Endorse New Healthy Living Products for Children and Adults

SPO Medical Inc. (OTC:SPOM) and Brewer Sports International (BSI) announced today that they are working with the Miami Dolphins’ running back Ricky Williams in support of their new SPO Wellness(TM) line of products that promotes healthy living for children and adults. Initial SPO Wellness(TM) products for the consumer marketplace include an innovative performance monitoring wristband known as the Wellness 10k(TM) and a unique heart-rate monitor sports watch. SPO expects the Wellness 10k(TM) wristband to be commercially available for sale in early 2011.

Pro Bowl MVP and one of the most well-known running backs in the National Football League (NFL), Ricky Williams, states, “The SPO Wellness(TM) line of products is great to use for people of all ages who want to stay as healthy as possible. Obesity has become a leading health issue in the United States and I am pleased to join with SPO and encourage individuals to do what it takes to stay healthy. I plan to use both of the products during my workouts to assist me in maximizing my fitness level so that I can stay in the best physical condition possible.”

Williams completed the 2009 season amongst the top ten running backs in the NFL, led the Dolphins in rushing with 241 carries for 1,121 yards and 11 touchdowns and was named as the team’s 2009 Dan Marino Most Valuable Player award winner for the second time. In his six seasons with the Dolphins, #34 ranks second in club history in rushing attempts, rushing yards and rushing touchdowns.

Jack Brewer, chief executive officer of BSI, added, “Ricky is an ideal role model to help bring awareness to the SPO Wellness(TM) line. Maintaining such a healthy lifestyle has enabled Ricky to have many successes as a professional athlete. His focus and determination on and off the field is perfect for helping make more people knowledgeable of healthy habits.”

Aside from football, Ricky focuses extensively on maintaining a healthy lifestyle through yoga, meditation and a vegetarian diet in order to achieve both his personal and professional goals. “There are so many things I want to accomplish in this lifetime. In order to accomplish my goals I need a healthy body,” said Mr. Williams. “A healthy body, mind and spirit are the reasons I’ve been able to have longevity as a professional football player. My philosophy regarding a healthy lifestyle can and should apply to everyone in our society. When you eat healthy, get adequate exercise and rest you are far more productive.”

“We are developing two products that support individuals who want to live healthier lives and perform their daily activities in a smart and responsible way,” said Michael Braunold, president and chief executive officer of SPO Medical. “The Wellness 10k(TM) is a unique wristband that will give everyone better awareness of how active they should be during their daily routines. Our heart-rate monitor sports watch uses technology that was previously found only in the medical market. Furthermore, it does not require a chest strap, unlike many other sports watches on the market. We are honored to have Ricky Williams join our team and we are pleased to have him as a health advocate using the SPO Wellness(TM) line.”
