Miami Dolphins K Andrew Franks, S Shamiel Gary and G Vinston Painter, cheerleaders Stephanie and Courtney and mascot T.D. visited patients at Baptist Children’s Hospital.
“Baptist Children’s Hospital is thrilled to add some holiday cheer to our youngest patients’ day,” Baptist Hospital CEO Bo Boulenger said. “The Miami Dolphins visit to our pediatric patients and their families makes everyone feel a little better about having to be in the hospital during the holiday season. This is a special treat for our families.”
The group distributed gifts of teddy bears, coloring books, bibs, pennants and T-shirts, took photos with patients and signed autographs.
“Today was a great experience, we really got to lift the spirits of the kids we visited. I think we were able to give some of the kids we visited hope,” Franks said. “Our platform in sports is meant for experiences like this. It’s to give back and help out people who are having a hard time. Today is a great opportunity for us to give back to the community.”
