Miami Dolphins Foundation Food Relief Program to Distribute More Than 17,000 Thanksgiving Meals and Feed More Than 21,000 Throughout South Florida

WHERE:               Hard Rock Stadium – 347 Don Shula Drive, Miami Gardens, FL 33056

 

DETAILS:              The Miami Dolphins Foundation Food Relief Program and Football UNITES™ program will partner with Sunshine Health to distribute 850 meal kits to South Florida families at Hard Rock Stadium on Monday, Nov. 23. Families, selected by Feeding South Florida and Football UNITES™, will receive meal kits provided by Feeding South Florida that can feed a household of 4-6 people and will consist of a turkey, fresh produce and sides.

DETAILS:              The Miami Dolphins Foundation Food Relief Program will partner with Centerplate and Sysco South Florida to distribute 6,200 meals to those in need at Hard Rock Stadium on Tuesday, Nov. 24. With meals prepared and catered by Centerplate, the team’s food, beverage and retail partner, the initiative continues its year-long commitment to providing meals to the South Florida community as well as employing guest services and security staff at the stadium that have been affected by COVID-19 event cancellations.

WHERE:                United Way of Broward County’s Colker Center – 1300 S Andrews Ave, Fort Lauderdale 33316

 

DETAILS:              The Miami Dolphins Foundation Food Relief Program will partner with local restaurants to distribute more than 10,000 meals to the South Florida community on Wednesday, Nov. 25. Organizational partners of the Food Relief Program will host a series of distribution sites throughout Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties, identifying recipients through various community programs. The Food Relief Program is continuing its year-long commitment of supporting local minority-owned restaurants while addressing food insecurity in our community as a result of COVID-19.

 

This initiative is part of the Miami Dolphins winning the NFL Huddle for 100 club competition, a league wide effort to encourage volunteerism and meaningful contributions throughout the country. In 2019, the Dolphins led the NFL with 75,623,500 volunteer minutes. As a result, the organization received a $100,000 grand prize which was allocated to the Miami Dolphins Foundation Food Relief Program.
