MIAMI DOLPHINS ANNOUNCE A NUMBER OF "FIRSTS" TAKING PLACE AT THE HOME OPENER ON SEPTEMBER 26TH

The Miami Dolphins today announced a number of “firsts” that will occur at Sunday’s home opener against the New York Jets as well as other new initiatives that will further elevate the fan experience at Sun Life Stadium.

“Every season we strive to bring added amenities, experiences and entertainment options that all fans at Sun Life Stadium can enjoy,” said Mike Dee, Dolphins CEO. “As we begin the 2010 home season, we hope that these new elements will bring ‘South Florida’s Biggest Party’ to another level.”

Among the new initiatives and enhancements for the season are:

  • National Telemundo Broadcast – For the first time ever, Telemundo Network will televise a NFL game in Spanish in five major U.S. cities – Miami, New York, Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles in addition to the Sunday night broadcast on NBC.
  • The Dolphins Band – A 60-member marching band, comprised of local musicians in the tri-county area will make its debut in colorful aqua and orange uniforms. The band will play in the parking lots pregame to bring the “South Florida’s Biggest Party” atmosphere to the tailgate and the in-game entertainment.
  • FanVision – The largest activation of FanVision in the NFL will take place Sunday at Sun Life Stadium when 25,000 devices will be in the hands of Dolphins season ticket holders who received it complimentary with their annual membership.  The device gives them access to instant replay, other NFL games, fantasy stats and more.
  • Celebra En Grande Latin Music Stage – This new music stage, supported by Bud Light, will showcase local Latin musicians and salsa dancers. The stage will be located near the Orange Carpet on the AT&T Grand Plaza.  Similar to the Land Shark Tailgate Stage, the Celebra En Grande Latin Stage is a place for fans to gather and enjoy the music and entertainment South Florida has to offer.
  • Ford Sideline Club – This unique on-field fan experience has been improved for 2010 with the addition of the Ford Sideline Lounge. The Ford Sideline Club & Lounge provides fans not only with access to the Dolphins sidelines but also a lounge with football fare, non-alcoholic drinks and views into the newly constructed Cheerleader Dance Studio.
  • LIV Sun Life Stadium – a groundbreaking concept that combines football with the South Beach nightlife.  Fans who want to “see and be seen” can purchase a seat, table, cabana or couch in this new nightclub with one of the best views of the playing field.
  • Suite 343 featuring Garcia’s Seafood & Fish MarketThe suite offers 32 memberships for those who want to entertain in style and enjoy the best and freshest seafood in South Florida provided by Garcia’s Seafood & Fish Market.
  • The Finsiders On Location – Dolphins fans will be able to watch the “Finsiders Natural Gas Pregame Show” broadcasting live from the AT&T Grand Plaza hosted by Jesse Agler and the Finsiders analysts’ Keith Sims, John Congemi and Sam Madison.  Additionally, club seat members can watch the Finsiders Halftime Show and “The 5th Quarter” postgame show broadcasting live from the second level of the club level at Gate C. Both the “Finsiders Natural Gas Pregame Show” and “The 5th Quarter” are the most comprehensive Dolphins post-game show and can be found on WINZ-940AM, online at MiamiDolphins.com, in-stadium at Sun Life Stadium, and on CBS4 or My33 following the game.
  • Team StoresTwo new merchandise stores have been built on the 400 Level.  These stores, located on the north and south sides of the stadium, add 2,000 square feet of retail space and will provide ticket-holders to the latest in Dolphins apparel and merchandise.  In addition, the store at Training Camp and the online store at www.MiamiDolphinsStore.com have been expanded and improved.
  • 400 Level Deck – More than 17,000 square feet of expanded space for casual gathering and sitting has been added to the east end zone of the 400 level.  This space, located on the roof of the Miami Dolphins Corporate Offices, gives fans extra room to eat and relax in the concourse area.

·         Service Captains – In an effort to provide unparalleled customer service, more than 200 Service Captains have been hired and trained to oversee each seating section and provide the best possible guest services to fans on all levels of the stadium.
