Miami Design District’s Newest Art Initiatives: Joyce Billet, Jillian Mayer, & Dalé Zine

Cultural programming set to debuted in the Miami Design District neighborhood starting Thursday, January 25th.

 

New art initiatives include:

  • Jillian Mayer’s Fidget Spinner, Good One

JOYCE BILLET: INTO THE WOODS
JOYCE BILLET: INTO THE WOODS

The French-American artist Joyce Billet’s work sits at the cusp between the analog and digital worlds. During her residency in the MDD, Billet opens her studio to visitors for a closer look at her work and process. Into the Woods will be on view through the end of March.

JILLIAN MAYER: FIDGET SPINNER, GOOD ONE

The Miami-born artist Jillian Mayer presents her latest installation, featuring freestanding glass and metal sculptures that appear to float in space. Installed inside the Stardust Pavilion in the MDD, where hues and shadows shift as the sunlight moves through the space, Mayer offers visitors the chance to sit on abstract furniture while bathing in the colored glow of handmade slumped and distorted glass. Fidget Spinner, Good One will be on view through the end of February.

DALÉ ZINE

Dále Zine is excited to announce its new location in the MDD. Discover unique art books and zines, and visit the exhibition of paintings and drawings by Gabriel Alcala, “Look Out of Any Window”. Dále Zine will be on view through 2025.
