Miami Design District presents Limited Edition Experiences and Gucci Flash Sneaker Store during Design Miami

Limited Edition Experiences is a program created by DACRA, the innovative real estate company that uses architecture, art, design and cultural programming to build international destinations, brings together the world’s most innovative fashion houses to create retail experiences of extraordinary inventiveness.  It will launch in the Miami Design District on November 30th for a limited season, bringing together some of the world’s most sought-after designers, including Fendi; Pharrell William’s Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream; Katherine Fleming; Duncan Quinn, Cynthia Rowley, and others, to present limited edition merchandise as well as radically innovative programming and environments that reflect their creative viewpoints.

In addition, Gucci will launch the second installment of ICON-TEMPORARY, a flash sneaker store that will debut later this month in New York.  For this unique retail experience, Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini has collaborated with award-winning musical artist Mark Ronson on the design of a limited edition collection of Gucci Ronson sneakers.  After Miami, Gucci ICON-TEMPORARY will move on to London and Tokyo.

Christian Louboutin
Debuting this month in the Miami Design District is the latest Christian Louboutin store to open in South Florida. The store will offer the latest Louboutin Collection of shoes and handbags, with a selection of styles that are special limited editions, available only at our boutiques exclusively. The boutique also contains an indoor gallery, so keep your eyes open for various friends of Louboutin to be featured there, and along with the beautiful wall of orchids, there will be plenty of beautiful things to captivate the eye, and complement the always artful, exquisite and sexy collections of Christian Louboutin.

Christopher Ross
Christopher Ross will present a collection of highly detailed animal belt buckles featuring cheetahs, griffon fish, snakes, foxes and eagles.  The pieces are made from the original molds.  These buckles, each hand signed by Christopher Ross, will be shown alongside a documentary about his collection of historical art and anqitues from the great European empires.

Cynthia Rowley
Cynthia Rowley’s bucolic pleasure garden playfully toys with the boundaries between indoors and outdoors. Within the airy atrium of the 4141 building sits one of the designer’s high-end boutiques re-imagined as a chic shop-on-wheels and an interactive countryside setting inviting visitors for a picnic lunch and a roll in the grass.

Duncan Quinn
The duncan quinn “Townhouse” will feature a duncan quinn ready to wear store with numerous special editions just for Miami, as well as instant classics such as their new Croquet shirts. And of course, as well as a bespoke salon for the finest handmade suits and shirts known to man.mdd2

Fendi
Fendi will debut its limited edition design ‘Needle Point Stitch Kit’ created by Silvia Venturini Fendi.  Each basic canvas baguette comes with guideline drawings and string – in a variety of color – allowing the consumer to customize and stitch her own bag.  Fendi will serve as an anchor tenant of the F Factory.

FriendsWithYou

Gucci Icon Temporary
Gucci will stage the second installment of GUCCI ICON-TEMPORARY, arriving from New York and continuing on to London and Tokyo in 2010. Katherine Fleming
Miami native Katherine Fleming commissioned 16 artists to refurbish her python “Jane” clutch.  The handbags will be auctioned to benefit the Bas Fisher Invitational which provides emerging artists with a venue to present their work.
Katherine Fleming will also be selling her spring clutches and SLG’s throughout the month long exhibition.

Maison Martin Margiela

Maison Martin Margiela is proud to announce the opening of Maison Martin Margiela, temporary shop, Miami, Florida, December 1st 2009.  Maison Martin Margiela has, since its founding in 1988, made Paris its home. Now, 21 years later it opens Maison Martin Margiela, Miami, temporary home to all Maison Martin Margiela collections in the Miami Design District.

Marni will offer an exclusive “Marni For Miami” bag in its Miami boutique this December. The bag features signature dots in vintage Marni canvas, leather double handles with silver studs, and a leather label inside embossed with MARNI FOR MIAMI. The MARNI FOR MIAMI program supports local arts institutions such as Miami Art Museum and the Bass Museum through benefit shopping nights at the Marni store.

Nektar De Stagni
Nektar De Stagni Shop will launch a “Jewelry Salon” for the month of December. It will feature contemporary designers that best reflect new ideas in design and process, such as, Bless, Confetti System, and Femke de Vries among others, as well as, limited edition jewelry by artists, Hernan Bas, Scott Hug, Martin Oppel, Paola Pivi, Cristina Lei Rodrigez, and Tom Sachs.

Neon Monster
Where the Visual, Auditory and Literary combine. Welcome to our Limited Edition Experience… In our Cave of Wonders, stalagmites and stalactites create sculptural forms and crystalline patterns lead to glowing white tree stumps. Jewelhued snails adorn the walls and limited edition prints provide portholes to imaginary experiences.

During Limited Edition Experiences, Poliform will introduce a new limited edition fabric collection called KENT.  Inspired by modernity and color, this collection is comprised of large blooms, roses, poppies, sunflowers, petunias, asters and morning-glories.  It is bold is color and concept.  A dazzling array of flowers and nature splashed on accent pieces of the Poliform collection throughout the Miami showroom.

Stubbs & Wootton
Stubbs & Wootton was founded in 1993 as purveyor of Edwardian footwear originally intended for indoor use, translated to be worn at all times, day into evening. Stubbs & Wootton will be offering the best of its collection of slippers as well as a skull and crossed sabers in matte gold on black velvet designed especially for Limited Edition Experiences.

Thomas Maier
