Miami Design District Hosts Eighth Annual Fashion Strikes Cancer in Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Sunday, October 1st, the Miami Design District (MDD) will proudly kick off the eighth annual Fashion Strikes Cancer event series, in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Founded by fashion visionary, stylist, and courageous breast cancer survivor, Angeles Almuna, this year’s ticketed events will honor LaTonya Davis, a six year triple negative breast cancer survivor.

The month-long initiative will kick off with a Pink Dome Lighting Ceremony & Yoga on Sunday, October 1st; followed by a Shop & Stroll: Pink Edition from Thursday, October 12th to Saturday, October 14th; the Roller Boogie: Pink in the Rink on Saturday, October 14th; and lastly, Reflections: A Portrait Of Dreams Fashion Show by Valeria Krasavina on Thursday, October 26th. Several MDD tenants will also be participating in the neighborhood’s efforts to support the BCRF in their own unique ways, donating a percentage of proceeds to the BCRF.
