Join Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and Miami DanceMakers (MDM) at the museum for our annual celebration of dance inspired by artworks on view! Experience the culminating performances of three new choreographed dance works, by Cecilia Benitez, Clinton Harris, and Erika Loyola, live throughout the gallery spaces.
Miami DanceMakers is an annual six-month professional development program that supports local dance makers at the early stages of their careers with both financial support and a proven professional development curriculum.
Launched by Adele Myers and Dancers in partnership with PAMM in 2021, MDM Artists receive a stipend to create a new dance work, artistic and administrative mentorship, and professional development curriculum. Networking with a diverse group of individual and performance opportunities are woven through the length of the program.
Creative Development Partners provide in-kind rehearsal space and in exchange the MDM Artists volunteer behind the scenes to support their partnering organizations, providing experiential learning in the inner workings of artistic venues and organizations. Miami DanceMakers culminates in a live performance of new dance works inspired by the exhibited artwork throughout the PAMM galleries. |
