MIAMI CITY BALLET’S ‘OPEN BARRE’ DANCE SERIES SEASON FINALE! A PREVIEW OF HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE COMPANY’S DEBUT COMMAND PERFORMANCES THIS SUMMER IN PARIS, FRANCE

Get up close and personal with Miami City Ballet dancers in their 200 seat intimate studio theater when the Open Barre Dance Series presents a special season finale:  a preview of highlights from the company’s debut command performances in Paris, France this summer featuring George Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments and La Valse along with Twyla Tharp’s In the Upper Room. These exclusive, one-of-a-kind performances will be presented three times only: Friday, April 22 at 7p.m. and Saturday, April 23 at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Miami City Ballet will get its first chance to shine in the City of Lights this summer and cap off its 25th anniversary season in July by performing for the first time in Paris, France.  The company will perform a three-week season, July 6-23, at one of the French capital’s major venues, the Théâtre du Châtelet, whose website touts MCB as “one of the most important ballet companies in the United States.”  The company will dance 17 performances in Paris over three weeks including works by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Twyla Tharp, Paul Taylor and Christopher Wheeldon, highlights of which will be previewed at a special Open Barre Dance Series season finale on Miami Beach April 22 and 23.
