The MAM Ball is historically Miami’s most elite formal affair since its inception in 1983, and amplified over the last 10 years by Art Basel Miami Beach’s most posh patrons. This year’s MAM Ball on Dec. 3 will mark new firsts with celebrity hosts and guests, artist ambassadors, and the first-ever “Crash the Ball” party, featuring famed DJ duo Andrew Andrew and a video art preview of “The Art of Five Minutes.” Opening the door to a dynamic new guest list, this year’s hosts and ambassadors range from famed artists to bold face names, like Dolphins owner Steve Ross, along with the next era of socialites and collectors. This year’s ball is chaired by Jorge Perez and a committee including the famed sugar empire Fanjul family, Emilio and Gloria Estefan, art dealer Gary Nader, and more. The Museum commissioned artworks for standout table centerpieces by recognized artists Carlos Betancourt, Jacin Giordano, Michael Loveland, Gean Moreno & Ernesto Oroza, Martin Oppel, Leyden Rodriguez-Casanova, Jen Stark and Frances Trombly. Each are creating 10 pieces to be displayed on the tables and later sold for $600 a piece.
