| The Idea Center at Miami Dade College is excited to host Carlos A. Migoya, CEO of Jackson Health System, as part of our signature Mike B. Fernández Global Business Leadership Series. Join us on Oct. 26th from 9:30am – 11:30am at MDC’s Medical Campus.
Migoya began leading Jackson Health System in 2011, after the organization had incurred a $419 million loss. He turned Jackson around in just one year, resulting in an $8 million surplus for the system—something that hadn’t been done since 2006. Migoya is a former member of Miami Dade College’s Board of Trustees and a true community champion. Prior to Jackson Health System, he spent 40 years in the banking industry, most recently as CEO of Wachovia (acquired by Wells Fargo N.A.) and later as city manager for the City of Miami. Migoya will be in conversation with MDC President Madeline Pumariega, followed by an audience Q&A. |
