Join us for an intimate evening with American film producer Carolyn Pfeiffer, Pfeiffer’s new memoir, Chasing the Panther: Adventures and Misadventures of a Cinematic Life, details her rise through the ranks of Hollywood and her reflections on an industry she’s helped to lead for decades. Pfeiffer was a founding partner and president and CEO of Alive Films, an independent production and distribution company that released many groundbreaking films, among them Kiss of the Spider Woman (which garnered William Hurt an Academy Award), Jonathan Demme’s Stop Making Sense, Philip Glass’s Koyaanisqatsi, and Alan Rudolph’s Choose Me. Pfeiffer will introduce a special screening of Choose Me and stay for a conversation to follow with Executive Director Brenda Moe.
