MDC Homestead Campus to Host Community Fall Fest

Miami Dade College (MDC) Homestead Campus will host a Community Fall Fest at its new Student Success Center on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

The entire family is invited to enjoy this autumn celebration, including a Pumpkin Photo Booth, live entertainment by DJ Rocksteady and local school bands, arts and crafts, a gaming hub, and food trucks to savor fall-inspired treats and savory delights. The kids’ corner will entertain little ones with balloon art, face painting, video games, puppy pals, and more. In addition, attendees can explore local produce and artisanal goods, and take advantage of free glucose monitoring, massages and dental hygiene services.

The new Student Success Center at MDC Homestead Campus is a 60,000-square-foot, four-story multi-purpose building, which houses an array of services, including admissions and registration, financial aid, advisement, the Honors College and student services. The fourth floor is dedicated conference space with an accompanying art gallery to showcase student, faculty and local artists’ exhibits. The third floor accommodates entrepreneurial programming for the small business community. The Center officially opened its doors on August 21 with the start of the fall semester.
