Mascot Battle for the Ages Takes South Florida by Storm

On August 1, PBR (Professional Bull Riders) and the Florida Freedom will host a charity mechanical bull challenge featuring local mascots vying for the title of South Florida’s greatest bull rider. The event, serving as a kickoff for the Freedom’s inaugural Freedom Days homestand at Amerant Bank Arena from August 2-4, promises an exciting showdown between prominent mascots including Freddie Freedom of the Florida Freedom, Viktor E. Ratt of the Florida Panthers, and Golazo of Miami FC.

Under the guidance of Florida Freedom Head Coach Paulo Crimber and star rider John Crimber, mascots will compete in a multi-round contest judged by the Florida Freedom. In addition to chasing a coveted trophy belt buckle, participants will also compete for a $1,000 donation to the charity of their choice.

This unique event heralds the Florida Freedom’s debut in the Sunshine State after relocating from Oklahoma City prior to the 2024 season. The Freedom, part of the innovative PBR Teams league launched in 2022, transforms bull riding into a team-oriented sport.
