Marion Cowings, world-renowned jazz singer, and native New Yorker, is best known for his considerable range and smooth baritone voice. For decades he has been delighting audiences around the world including venues such as Blue Note, Village Vanguard, and Lincoln Center as well as many prestigious venues abroad. New York Times writer Jon Pareles once penned that Cowings sounded like a latter-day Frank Sinatra, which may be attributed to his attendance at the now famous LaGuardia High School where he was chosen to perform as a solo vocalist with the New York Philharmonic. Cowings’ newest CD features performances with Hank Jones and Frank Weiss.

The Loews Hotel is one of the luxury landmarks in South Beach’s hospitality industry.

Upstairs at the Van Dyke Café is a live music lounge and event space on the second floor of the historic Van Dyke Building overlooking Lincoln Road. Known for its warm and welcoming environment, the venue has made a name for itself by playing host to the Jazz music tradition. The venue has also recently received a mention in Time Magazine’s Miami: 10 Things to Do in 24 Hours issue. The refurbished space boasts a full-service bar, state of the art sound system, grand piano and is staffed by an acoustic engineer.
