Each year in Florida, 1 out of 8 babies is born premature. By raising awareness and funds through the March of Dimes’s largest event, March for Babies supporters are helping improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. The Broward Division expects to raise nearly $1 million from hundreds of family and corporate teams.
For more than 75 years, the March of Dimes has worked to help babies get a healthy start in life. About 4 million babies were born in the United States last year, and the March of Dimes helped each and every one through research, education, vaccines and breakthroughs.
