The Miami day spaseries coincides with the four phases of the moon: Waning, New, Waxing and Full Moon, featuring Eminence’s new Biodynamic line. Products from the Biodynamic line are harvested during the correlating phases, restoring, maintaining and enhancing ecological harmony.
Each week, resort and spa guests can experience a featured treatment based on the 28-day lunar calendar:
WANING MOON– The moon begins to decrease the size of visibility. This phase correlates to those wanting to cleanse themselves of things in their lives and make things and/or people go away. According to lunar planting folklore, root plants should go into the ground during a waning stage. It is also the best time to turn over soil and lifestyle changes are best. Purifying treatments, steam, and detox are most effective.
Lunar Spa Series Treatment: Ocean Indulgence
Harnessing the wealth of valuable minerals contained in sea water, this spa treatment pampers with all of the ocean’s luxuries by detoxifying, firming and moisturizing skin. A sea salt body buff exfoliates and revitalizes the skin’s nutrients, while a mineral rich algae is combined with a luxurious cream to create an intense moisturizing wrap treatment. The journey is completed with a relaxing full body massage. 105 minutes / $320
NEW MOON– There are typically two days of the new moon and occurs when it is positioned between the earth and sun. It is quite similar to the waning, and is the time to rid oneself of things.
Lunar Spa Series Treatment: Biodynamic Facial
A gentle facial suitable for even the most sensitive of skin types, still providing the age-defying results. Experience the toning and hydrating effects of calendula and eucalyptus oils to leave the skin feeling soft and silky. 50 minutes/ $160
WAXING MOON– The moon begins to increase in the size of visibility and is the most auspicious to concentrate on increasing personal gain, such as love, money, power or other material things, new beginnings and rejuvenation.
Lunar Spa Series Treatment: Aroma Indulgence
A complete pampering journey, led by the senses with select aromatherapy oils designed specifically for the mind and body’s needs. A body polish cleanses and beautifies skin, followed by envelopment by a body pack containing the deep moisturizing qualities and healing scents of aromatherapy oils. Upon completion of the body wrap, a warm bath awaits to cleanse and decompress. The treatment concludes with a relaxing full body massage. 105 minutes / $320
FULL MOON- Hormonal reactions to increased positive ions in the air (Full Moon Effect) cause hyperactivity, depression, road rage, higher occurrences of migraines and asthma. Even bees are known to sting without provocation on higher positive ion ratios. There is also good reason to believe that people’s personalities do change around the time of the full moon, not because of any astronomical force, but because it creates the optimum lighting conditions for feeling carefree and mischievous. The moisture content becomes low during the waning moon and is the peak of renewal, making it the best time to prepare as the time for renewal approaches.

FULL MOON SPIN SERIES
For one magical evening, on the night of the Full Moon, guests can spin under the stars for an intense cardio workout on the luxury beach resort’s Grand Lawn with the Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop. Classes begin as the sun sets and the moon rises over the Atlantic Ocean, as the evening’s “Spin Stars” provide ice cold towels, refresh water and cool down spinners with spritzes of water. $25 per person.
