LOS MUÑEQUITOS DE MATANZAS is the premier Afro-Cuban ensemble in the world, boasting more than 50 years of sensational performances, master percussionists, daredevil dancers, and captivating vocals.  Founded in the city of Matanzas, Cuba, the group currently spans three generations of an extended family of musicians, dancers, and singers – all steeped in the vibrant culture of the African Diaspora in Cuba.  Grammy-nominated, LOS MUÑEQUITOS has toured extensively in Canada, Brazil, Puerto Rico, and the United States to unprecedented public and critical acclaim.  LOS MUÑEQUITOS performances channel 500 years of cultural history through drumming, chanting, dance, and of course, the Cuba rumba.  The group is a legendary, living legacy, celebrating the spirit of and honoring the roots of Cuba.
