Le Petit Papillon Montessori School, Miami Beach’s highly renowned Montessori School is thrilled to announce their first annual family-friendly event, “Dark Side of the Rainbow” during Art Basel (Miami Beach’s internationally acclaimed art show).
In an effort to provide an engaging artistic venue for families with children of all ages during Art Basel, Le Petit Papillon is creating an unforgettable evening guaranteed to stimulate children’s senses and encourage art appreciation at a young age. Parents and children are invited to walk the enchanting grounds of the campus and observe photography installations, a cinematic documentary on oversize inflatable screens, literary biographies and artwork by Le Petit Papillon’s savvy toddler, Pre-K and elementary students.
Preview exhibits including “In the Eyes of the Child” and “Baby Eyes, Where are You,” black and white photography installations; three dimensional sculptures designed with recycled materials; and “A Sleuth of Questions,” a film capturing students responses to questions such as, “What is inside a bubble?” Plus, enjoy the sounds of Pink Floyd and other classical rock songs performed by Live! Modern School of Music, as well as a hip hop performance by Tamara Roy and her dance team.
The event is FREE to the public. Refreshments will be served. Families are encouraged to wear black and white attire.
