In the latest episode of Artists Den’s weekly series “Live From My Den,” Latin singer/songwriter Justin Quilesperforms his hit song “Loco” in front of an intimate group of fans poolside at South Florida’s iconic Guitar Hotel at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood.
In this episode that released Friday, Quiles also spends time with Hard Rock’s Creative Culinary Director Chef Alex Becker at Abiaka, the resort’s newest restaurant – a wood-fire grill concept that showcases live fire cooking inspired by South Florida’s unique, bold flavors with distinct touches of Latin influence. There, Chef Becker and Chef Quiles, as noted on his personalized chef’s jacket, create some of Abiaka’s signature dishes including the Hamachi ceviche with leche de tigre, pickled onions, sweet potato; and seared skirt steak topped with a seasonal melon pico de gallo.
A true culinarian, Quiles draws inspiration from his love of food, cultures and learning from everyone he meets. In the exclusive interview, Quilestalks about growing up in Puerto Rico and being immersed in reggaeton and hip-hop culture, both of those influences evident in his music.
The episode highlights Quiles performing an intimate set for fans at the rooftop of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, overlooking the Guitar Hotel. In addition to “Loco,” Quiles also performs “Jeans,” “Colorín Colorado,” “La Botella” and “Ponte Pa’ Mi,”all off his 2021 album “La Última Promesa.”
